Step in aesthetic and intellectual reworking of a personal experience, RE_PLAY is a game between autobiographic reality and fiction up to explore the limits in a choreographic way, therefore compositional and musical way.
Re-Play, is a danced solo, the reenactments of memories and virtual and real souvenirs.
The search for materials starts from the body that turns into memories, pictures, and missing acts.
Ranieri thinks about the concept of Distance/Remoteness and, consequently, the one of Proximity/Presence linked to the former. He investigates the use of our daily life devices:archive of memories, elaboration of other identities, surrogate of “presences” in absence of a live corporeity, an outside eye.
The choreographic structure starts from the study of a personal archive that collects private pictures and videos of the last 2 years. Through this choreographic device Ranieri experiments the use of the device as a potential witness, another eye, a bodily surrogate, useful to take the distance from itself.
